She Forgot the Back Door… and Three Deer Moved In

Imgur user Amscolie was prepping her home for a nasty storm when she forgot to close the back door. When the thunder hit, she checked, and found three deer quietly huddled in her living room, seeking shelter.

Animals often sense bad weather before we do, and these gentle visitors made a beeline for safety. As it happens, Amscolie raises orphaned wildlife, so instead of shooing them out, she let them stay the night.

“The deer were nowhere to be found… then I spotted them by the end table. I told them they could sleep inside because it was going to be nasty,” she wrote.

By morning, the storm had passed, and the trio slipped back outside. Whether or not you’re a deer fan, it’s hard to resist a face like that, and an act of kindness like hers.
